My Aliveness Program experience has been extremely powerful. Recovering from an Eating Disorder requires work and maintenance beyond the initial treatment period that I did not have access to in Kuwait. The amount of support and resources that were available were not enough to sustain my motivation and I found myself alone and losing focus when it came to my recovery.
I knew I had to do something differently so when the opportunity came, I registered for the course. Initially, I had concerns about being able to commit to the 6 week course due to the time differences and a full time job but was also fed up with committing to everything BUT myself.
The team showed a tremendous amount of patience and understanding when personal circumstances got in the way of participating in any of the activities. Access to the group through social media made it easier to do the work on my own schedule, and the constant support from the wonderful and compassionate women in the community has definitely had a positive impact on me. I’ve been able to refocus on my recovery and start living beyond just the food and body struggles, so for that I’m truly grateful.

I have to admit that I was very hesitant in starting the Aliveness course. I felt that I had tried everything and that life was as good as it was going to get. I finally trusted the advice of a member of my professional team and decided to give it a shot.
My experience with the Aliveness Program has been a very positive one. It has made me feel more empowered than ever before. I have gone through many years of therapy where I was able to learns certain tools to assist in my recovery. But it was the Aliveness Program that gave me the feeling of confidence and unconditional love and support in order to put these skills and tools into use. I love being a member of such a supportive community. I know that I can go on Facebook any day and either post my daily experiences and get feedback or just read other posts and be supportive to someone else.
This program is under the leadership of two wonderful women that I have grown to trust. They have taught me how to listen to my body and trust my instincts. Thank you Aliveness Program for helping me live in the moment and truly be “alive.” I challenge you to give it a shot. You have nothing to lose, but a whole lot to gain in this experience!

As a psychotherapist who helps people establish a new relationship with food and with their bodies, the Aliveness Program is an essential component for anyone addressing these difficult concerns. The curriculum creates an educational experience whereby my patients have been able to integrate the knowledges gained with a deeper understanding of themselves.
The Aliveness Program provides that platform whereby people can experience a “paradigm shift” in what was previous faulty thinking, in a safe, group setting.

Before the course I restricted food and starved myself. During the course, I learned to eat more balanced and more regularly. The Aliveness team was so great to work with and truly the best at what they do. I knew I was in good hands. The support community we have now of peers going through the same food struggles is priceless. I am grateful to have been a part of this program. I continue to be involved in the community and individual sessions from Dr. May and the nutritionist Amy.

I joined the Intentional Eating course after struggling with food for my entire life. I had tried several diet plans and was frustrated with the endless cycle of beating myself for weight gain. I was tired of using food for comfort and stress relief and constantly comparing myself to other women. I “knew better” but was unable to stop the emotional eating.
The class taught me how to identify and process my emotions in the present moment. This awareness has helped me re-define my relationship with food. While I am still a work in progress, the tools I received in the course have helped me make several breakthroughs. The personal insights I have gained are not limited to my food relationship; they have helped me in other parts of my life as well.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has struggled with food in their life!

I think I was born with the “diet mentality” as it was a mentality that permeated my family of origin! So of course I played with a yo yo, the diet yo yo for many years. Diets, nutritionists, personal trainers became appendages to me and I did well. But I could never sustain what I learned or practiced. After completing a 12 step program related to an alcohol issue I developed, I began to connect the dots between alcohol misuse and food misuse-same reason, just different drug of choice. Exploration of those dots led me step by step to the Aliveness Conscious Eating course, and I am so glad I got there!
The Aliveness conscious Eating course lit many sparks- it made me really look at myself in a whole new way with honesty and dignity; it connected me with wonderful women especially but certainly not limited to Dr. Jen, Dr. May, Alison and Amy who showed unconditional support and love 24/7, and who TRULY understood my struggles because my struggles were their stuggles too; and it sparked a desire to continue to explore and reach for my ultimate goal of living a long, healthy and happy life.
Although I certainly am not exactly where I want to be, nor do I even know what that means or if I’ll get there, I am so grateful to have taken this course. Plus, the opportunity to continue on this journey with the wonderful leadership team and be part of a community (members who took the course with me and others) is very exciting1 Counting the days ’til the Intentional Living course starts!
